- Can I hire house no. xxxx for a weekend, or, for example, from Thursday to Thursday?
You can quickly check this. Use 'Search a house no.' at the top right-hand corner on the home page of our web site. Choose between available periods. If the desired period is not shown, then the house cannot be hired in this period. Out of the high season you can find many houses that can be hired over 2 weeks. Some houses for weekend hire or, 'unusual' hire from for example, Thursday - Thursday can first be searched for and booked 28 days before taking the house.
- What should we expect to pay on top of the hire price?
Water is included in the price in many of the houses. Refer to the terms of hire and description of each individual house where details about water charges can be found.
The price of electricity is calculated according to consumption. There are several factors influencing electricity consumption: for example, the time of year, type of house, number of people.
Average prices are from May to September with 6 persons:
Pool houses: approximately DKK 1,800 per week.
Jacuzzi houses: approximately DKK 800 per week.
Houses without jacuzzi and pool: approximately DKK 350 per week.
The average price is from October to April with 6 persons:
Pool houses: approximately DKK 2,200 per week.
Jacuzzi houses: approximately DKK 1,000 per week.
Houses without jacuzzi and pool: approximately DKK 500 per week.
With pool houses the use of the pool room has an importance for electricity consumption. It is important to cover the swimming pool at night and keep the door to the pool room, etc., closed. Information about this is is found in the holiday home.
- May I have a catalogue sent to me?
We do not have printed catalogues - we are only available on the internet. There is a distinct advantage with this as you can both immediately see which houses are available for your holiday, and you receive more information and photographs than a printed catalogue could give you. Finally you can click on the map of Denmark and see precisely where the house is located. You can also zoom in and out. If you require a print-out of the houses you have chosen, then these can be placed on your 'personal list' which can be printed out.
- Where can I find the address of the house?
You cannot see the exact address, though you can click on the map of Denmark and see precisely where the house is located. You will be notified of both the address and where to deliver the key when you receive the contract.
- Is there a barbecue at the house?
A barbecue does not come with the house. If there is one, it may naturally be used, but we cannot guarantee its condition. Therefore it is a good idea to bring a disposable barbecue with you - just to be on the safe side. It is also possible to purchase a disposable barbecue at many of the local grocers in the area.
- What should I bring with me?
You have to bring bed linen, towels, tea towels, dishcloths, and toilet paper. A linen pack including towels and tea towels can be hired from the hire bureau. The price varies, but it costs approximately DKK 75,- (EUR 10) per pack (i.e. for one person).
- Are there swings and/or a sandpit for children?
If there are swings and/or a sandpit, it will be mentioned in the text.
- Is it possible to hire a house from this coming Saturday?
The houses that appear when you are searching may be hired. As there is a short time to arrival, you will quickly be informed about the practical details concerning the lease.
- May we bring our dog/dogs with us to house no. xxxx?
allowed, then this is mentioned for each individual house. How many pets are allowed is also mentioned. If there is no mention of pets, then the house owner does not allow them. If you have 2 pets that are not too large, and would like a house where only 1 pet is allowed, we will gladly find out if the owner will allow both pets to stay. Please send us an email with the house no. and your requirements
- Do I have to a place a deposit?
If a deposit must be paid then this will be mentioned by the individual house, and on the booking page.
