Description
Vorupør is an idyllic fishing village with a population of around 800, where inhabitants have earned their living from the sea for hundreds of years. The surrounding countryside consists of woodland with a large population of deer, and lush green dunes where you can collect various berries to flavour your own drinks. The region is also characterised by its small watering holes- favoured by a rich variety of bird life - and some of the best beaches on Denmark's western coast. The bay at Klitmøller- also called Hawaii II - is known as one of Europe's best surfing spots. The sea at Nr. Vorupør also offers excellent surfing opportunities, while the lake of Vandet Sø is a perfect spot for beginners to learn the art of riding the waves.
