During the years 1639-44 the Danish king Chr. IV build the beautiful castle Valdemars Slot for his son Valdemar Christian. The castle is marvellously situated on Tåsinge - directly by beach and water - and it is accessible through bridge or ferry.

Valdemars Slot contains 4 museums: A hunting and trophy museum, which rank as ranks as one of the most beautiful in Europe, the toy museum Danmarks Legetøjsmuseum, which is located on the loft over the stable, the yachting museum Danmarks Museum for Lystsejlads and last, but not least, Denmark's most extensive manor house museum with art and antiquities.

More than 25 halls and chambers on the castle are fully furnished and accessible. In addition, the large manor house kitchen and the beautiful interior of a church are still used.

In one of the many buildings, belonging to the castle, you will find this unique and commodious holiday flat, which has been established on the first floor. Enjoy the panoramic view of the water from this flat.

The flat accommodates 10 persons and contains 5 bedrooms, from which 3 are furnished with romantic four-poster beds. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, microwave oven, washing machine and tumbler. In the cosy TV room you will find stereo with CD player, video as well as TV with satellite (digital). Furthermore, the flat offers a library, a dining room as well as a bathroom with bathtub.

Everywhere the interior has been adjusted to the style of the castle with genuine furniture and planed wooden floors.

The magnificent location in a scenic park by the water invites walks and swimming. This is a quite unique holiday home, situated in an extremely beautiful and historically famous area. During your stay you ought to visit the restaurant Thepavillonen and the café Æblehaven. It is also possible to rent the flat 'Nordre Porthus', the house 'Skovløberhuset' for 4 persons and the house 'Jagtgården' for 8 persons on the castle Valdemars Slot.
