Rustic cave house (140 m²) situated in the chasm of the Júcar River, in the Albacete region. Completely restored with its original character preserved, such as the feeding troughs and the niches in the stones. Traditional materials such as clay, wood and rock masses have been used extensively. There is also a bath (the so-called hamman) which has been carved out of the rock. It is a spacious cavern house of two floors and with three large bedrooms. There is an inner garden area (100 m2) with permanent barbecue and a roof terrace. Jorquera is 9 km away and Alcalá del Júcar 20 km away, towns which are worth a visit for their architecture, traditions and the wonderful cuisine of Castilla-La Mancha. It is of course ideal for nature lovers due to the rich wildlife and vegetation of the area. As the cavern house is in a narrow chasm, a microclimate is always present, with pleasant temperatures in the winter. You’ll find fig cacti and pomegranate, laurel (bay), khaki, and orange trees, as well as other native tree species. The constant temperature (17-20ºC) which is prevalent in the cave house ensures that you will always be comfortable.
